Syracuse native and musical pioneer JIMMY CAVALLO was in the first all-white band, Jimmy and the Houserockers, to play the Apollo Theatre in Harlem for the release of DJ Alan Freed’s movie Rock, Rock, Rock.

Local favorite and 25 year Syracuse music scene veteran RON SPENCER (a former WAER DJ) is known for his lively brand of contemporary jump blues, released his CD “Burnin’ Desire” in 1997 with guest vocals from Paul “Big Daddy” LaRonde, “Livin’ Low” in 2005 with Houserocker Jimmy Cavallo, and “Roller Coaster Blues” in 2009.
